About us

Your specialist in Pelvic Health & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Combined years of experience in both musculoskeletal and pelvic health physiotherapy allows a truly holistic approach to your care.

We treat people, not problems.

At Plus Physio, we know the importance of listening and having a good understanding of your goals, so we provide every patient with longer appointments and an environment free of interruptions so you can tell your story.  Gathering this information along with a  detailed and thorough assessment at the beginning of your journey with us is key. Working in this way means that we can be confident that we understand where the root of the problem is and be certain that we can help you with your goals in the most effective way.

We work with a wide range of people and enjoy providing care that is tailored to each individual’s needs whether you are a new mum,

an athlete or both!

We are experienced in relieving pain, restoring movement and improving function. The combination of hands on therapy, rehab and patient education are a winning formula to get you back to your best. We achieve results with treatment underpinned by sound clinical knowledge, continuous professional development and years of experience.

Teamwork and good communication with other professionals involved in your care is important to us. With your permission, we are happy to collaborate and liaise with other healthcare and fitness professionals.

Julie Robinson

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy the way it should be.

Julie graduated from Nottingham University in 1997 and has worked extensively in musculoskeletal medicine since then. She spent her early career within the NHS before a number of years as a Physiotherapy Officer in the British Army. Subsequently, she worked in and managed two central London physiotherapy clinics as well as a period within elite sports.

Julie’s interest in pelvic health developed during her time working with both male and female soldiers with persistent hip and groin pain. With more women continuing to serve within the armed forces following childbirth, Julie’s passion was ignited for postnatal rehabilitation and helping women return to their demanding physical roles after having a baby. She has since completed a range of postgraduate education in pelvic health and treats both men and women with pelvic floor dysfunction.

In 2016, Julie and her family moved to Salisbury where she set up Plus Physio.

Her combined musculoskeletal and pelvic health approach attracts patients from both the Salisbury and Wiltshire area as well as Dorset and Hampshire and she regularly receives referrals from GPs, Consultants, midwives, doulas, fitness professionals and psychosexual therapists.

Julie enjoys sharing her knowledge and educating patients so that they fully understand their condition and can independently manage and maintain their future health.

Being a Mum of 2 girls, she fully understands the challenges of juggling family life, work and limited time for self care. Her approach is to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs and other life commitments, with a focus on building sustainable habits to achieve long term health.
